Some people believe that spending money on developing technology for space exploration is unjustifiable, and there are more beneficial ways to spend money. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Exploring the universe has been receiving a great deal of public attention. Some assert that pouring money into
this
field is unwarranted because other aspects are more vital to humanity, I totally agree with
this
statement for two compelling reasons.
To begin
with, there is a range of explanations for why the
government
should provide financial aids for space research.
Firstly
, since people have developed novel technologies to enhance the standard of living, the pressure on natural resources continues to increase significantly.
Therefore
, by diverting funds from other areas
to

of
outer space exploration, astronauts can seize an opportunity to discover asteroids, including infinite supplies of raw materials, which allows humans to take advantage of theirs.
Secondly
, it is obvious that the birth rate in many nations is rising at an alarming rate,
as a result
, people on the Earth will be subject to a lack of accommodations in the future. Unearthing a new planet can facilitate current generations and our descendants to migrate and settle in it.
On the other hand
, I strongly believe that there are ample and urgent problems that need prioritizing.
Firstly
, as food shortage and malnutrition remain pressing issues, the
government
should take bold actions and invest budgets in modernizing the country’s agricultural sector by installing irrigation systems or creating regional education centers, where farmers could acquire new farming techniques and learn how to cultivate efficiently and profitably as well, boosting the productivity of crops that enable the food industry to fulfill the demands of the populace.
In addition
, it is wiser for the
government
to pay close attention to secure safety and save the lives of residents. Taking COVID-19 as
an

a
prominent example, in order to devise unprecedented vaccines to fight against
coronavirus
, it requires a number of budgets and efforts;
therefore
, the
government
should not squander finances on unnecessary fields.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
