People have different views about the number of family members in a household. While having a big family has some benefits, I would argue that people prefer a small family unit. On the one hand, living in an extended family can be advantageous.
Firstly
Linking Words
, there are people of different age groups in a big family, which allows children to engage with family members that are much older, younger, and in-between.
For example

, they can spend more time with their grandparents.
This

bridges the generation gap in the family.
Secondly
Linking Words
, since there are many people, a big family can accomplish any chore faster than a smaller one.
For example
Linking Words
, they can divide the responsibilities between the family members.
As a result

, they do not need a significant amount of time for cleaning, which saves time in their daily life.
However

, I believe that living in a nuclear family is the better choice.
First

, children of smaller families get more attention from their parents, which positively affects their development.
For instance

, parents can help them with school materials that they do not understand.
This

leads to better academic performance.
Additionally

, since few people are living under one roof, there is more space for everyone.
Consequently

, small families can have more comfortable lives.
For example

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
