Individuals can do nothing to improve the environment; only governments and large companies can make a difference. To what extent do you agree or disagree? You should write at least 254 words.

Conserving the environment is of paramount importance in the escalating modernised world today. A school of thought states that people play no role in saving the Mother Earth and it’s the responsibility of the government and other authorities to carry out the requirements in order to take care of the nature.
However
, I strongly disagree with the statement as it is not only in the hands of governing bodies, but
also
, each and every individual must take little steps towards conservation of the flora and fauna. To embark on, the environment is degraded by mankind due to the greedy requirements and
hence
it’s our responsibility to restore it back.
Firstly
, pollution is the major cause for environmental destruction. Individuals are required to reduce the usage of plastic bags which would
further
decrease the land pollution.
Furthermore
, literates can educate a few people in the suburbs who are not aware of the ongoing environmental issues.
For instance
, individuals in Bangalore city stopped using plastic bags and even refused when the shopkeepers gave them and
also
advised them to use paper bags
instead
.
Then
on they continued
this
practice and the pollution rate has come down drastically.
Secondly
, people can start using bicycles to commute shorter distances in and around the city.
This
would definitely reduce the release of toxic gases into the atmosphere and provide fresh, clean to the people residing at that place.
Moreover
, by riding cycles people can

healthier as it would be a sort of exercise to the body and fitness would be maintained. A recent research demonstrated that residents who travelled places with bicycles were 40% more healthier compared to the ones commuting in cars.
Hence
, the amount of hazardous gases liberated would decrease and provide healthier fresh breath. To recapitulate, the environmental conservation comes down to individuals rather than higher authorities. Every human plays a vital role in the restoration of the natural beauty.
Although

making certain rules, it is always humans who have to implement and consider adequate measures in order to achieve the desired goal in the long term.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
