Many people have suggested that young adults should undertake a period of unpaid work helping people in their local community. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this?

Presented are two diagrams, one of which, a bar chart, illustrates purposes for travelling, while the other diagram, a pie chart, depicts major issues for that in the US in 2009. Measures are in percentage. Overall, travelling from and to work was the dominating cause, while the minority of people had trips only because of visiting their friends or relatives.
Besides
, there were problems related to travelling; whereas the most imperative one was Price of travel, the least demanding was the Space for pedestrians. To have a trip from and to work was the leading purpose, 49%, roughly eight times higher than the least considerable reason, Visit friends/relatives. Other causes, including Personal reasons, Shopping and Social/recreation had a proportion of 19%, 16% and 10% respectively. In terms of problems for the travelling public, Price of travel had the most significant proportion, accounting for 36%. Not as crucial as Price of travel, other concerns
such
as Safety ones, Aggressive drivers and Highway congestion, recorded at 19%, 17% and 14% respectively.
Finally
, lagging behind all, Access to public transport and Space for pedestrians registered a mere proportion of roughly 8%.
