Modern buildings which house living apartments and businesses are one of the important parts of the city. Some people favour the idea of having a regulatory body with authority of design approvals, while other people counter the notion by suggesting free hands to the financiers of the buildings. The essay will explain both the views with relevant comparisons and examples. Architectural layout of buildings is a creative art and there can be a conflict of interest over it. People who are spending their hard earned money on their apartments can choose any type of arrangement, as it is according to their needs and requirements. When
government
 bodies regulate these types of matter, some people feel agitated as it does not give freedom. They
also
 find it annoying to follow unnecessary rules and regulations while finalizing the plan of newly constructed buildings. On the other side, many support the idea of a central
government
 body through which all the layout approvals of city buildings must pass. They believe that all buildings in the cities should be designed according to the scientifically devised standards as they consider all the norms of the safety and security. If not regulated properly, there can be buildings designed haphazardly all over the city with potential fire and safety hazards.
Moreover

 bodies will have design layouts of the building which can help them form a database with extensive details and information. In my opinion, all the construction activities including design should be monitored by an independent
government
 body as it brings uniformity and all necessary guidelines should be followed to ensure the safety of the residents in the buildings.
