The continued increase in obesity is the greatest problem faced by developed countries at the present time. What are the causes of this continued increase? Do you agree that it is the greatest problem faced by developed countries today?

Nowadays, according to health experts,
obesity
becomes one of the greatest health concern. It becomes a common menace for so-called
first
world countries.
This
essay will discuss about the most important reasons behind it and I personally opine the idea of the proponents.
To begin
with, there are numerous causes behind it, but lack of outdoor activity and consuming a large amount of fast-foods are among the mains. In
this
era of digitization, rapid changes in our lifestyle can be observed.
Moreover
, our way of living becomes very fast-paced, but free time at hand is getting decreased day by day.
Furthermore
, discoveries of many works-saving gadgets and increasing number of mobile apps make us lazy and help us not to go outside for daily needs.
For example
, in
first
world countries, where the technology is better, more developed than others, it is observed that outdoor activities shrink by 80% in
last
seven years. In parks, most of the times, it is noticed that people sit on benches and using mobiles rather than doing exercises.
Additionally
, habit of overeating of junk foods in developing countries to save time is another primary cause which not only help in accumulating fat, but
also
in creating several health related issues.
This
obesity
problem is considered to be a most threatening concern in developing countries, these days, as it creates numerous fitness problems and
also
help to shorten life time. Diabetes, Sugar, High blood-pressure are the primary ones which come from excessive fat. On the top of that, it can sometimes result in premature death. According to a recent study conducted by The Cambridge University, lifespan of people of London is decreased by approximately 15 years due to
this
unhealthy lifestyle and despite of local authorities' several campaigns against
obesity
,
this
issue is getting bigger every day
.
Accept space
.
To conclude, every data suggest that the ever increasing
obesity
problem is one of the most threatening problems in advanced countries. To curb it, people need to make self-aware and with the help of government, local organizations should step forward and educate society more about its bad effects.
