Some universities make student’s specialized in a single subject; other universities make students take many subjects. Which policy do you think is better? Use examples and reasons to explain.

In the era of technological advancements, each and every aspect related to educational services is developing quickly across the world. It is often debated by some people that some universities should construct a student’s
career
in one particular subject rather than other reputed academic institutes impose with ample amount of subjects. As per my viewpoint, students should become expert in the core
field
which they are most interested and passionate about.
To begin
with, there are so many universities across the globe which are imparting certain education in the terms of research and innovation to flourish. Since childhood many teenagers are goal oriented and ambitious about their
career
and eventually they learn a lot in their academic subjects which makes them to explore more interest about the studies.
In addition
to that, with the time they realize that in which particular
field
they want to build their
career
.
For instance
, students always seeking after the completion of secondary education that they get mature enough to choose and realize the interest of streams
such
as science, commerce, arts and so on.
Furthermore
, universities should impose certain restrictions with the support of the government that they allow students to enrol in a specialized
field
through tentative entrance examinations and interviews.
Therefore
, students should be selected on the basis of the performance, interest, and score, which is basically on the merit system.
For example
, many engineering students in reputed universities are getting enrolment on the basis of entrance and aptitude tests.
However
, some academic institutes imposed with all the stream of subjects which are sometimes unnecessary for the candidates.
Similarly
, the same system we see in schools that pupils need to learn several subjects, I believe which is good for the early phase of the academic
career
. But, as students get develop by the time, their interests and ideas
also makes
Suggestion
also make
them attract towards the
field
in which they want to move ahead.
For instance
, a science student will be more interested in developments in space and technology rather than learning, arts and literature which is
also
a mandatory subject in the course. To summarize, I believe universities should impart certain core education of particular
field
which students are more interested and passionate about it.
However
, they should be chosen on the basis of interviews, entrance and aptitude tests.

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 250 words in writing task 2. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long essay will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 260 to 290 words in writing task 2. This will ensure a concise essay and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 40 minutes to write the essay and you need around 10 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long essay in 30 minutes.
