In some countries people spend long hours at work. Why does this happen? Is it positive or negative development

Suggestion
modern
world, people are engrossed in their
work
.
However
, there are several reasons which lead to
this
phenomenon; in my opinion,
this
trend brings various repercussions to individuals.
First
and foremost, people now tend to live pragmatically because of the importance of money on a daily basis,
this
acts as a catalyst to spend most of the
time
working.
In other words
, people desire to have enough money for their
life
, or even more than that.
For example
, a workaholic seems to have more money than those who do not
work
, or spend less
time
working,
this
prompts a better quality of
life
and living comfortably.
Secondly
, family members are likely to live a sedentary
life
as a result
of the dramatic impact of technology on their
life
,
this
leads to less
time
for family gathering and they have nothing to do rather than working.
For example
, a wife could make her husband spend more
time
for her and less
time
being at
work
, or even he would opt for taking a sabbatical to stay at home and play with their children to strengthen the family bond. Apart from the reasons expressed above, I
also
perceive that
this
problem is an adverse development.
Firstly
, citizens spending long hours at
work
could be depressed due to the heavy workload and deadlines. They are always under pressure to finish their assignments to attract themselves with their boss and in fact, they do not want to be scolded or punished.
Therefore
, they might suffer from hypertension or any heart diseases that have detrimental effects on their health.
In addition
, working for long hours might make people away from their relatives,
this
results in spoiling companionship and isolating them from family members. By way of conclusion, people in some parts of the world are liable to be involved in working long hours.
Nevertheless
,
this
is because of some possible reasons and has negatively developed people in many cases.
