The influence of human beings on the world's ecosystem is leading to the extinction of species and loss of biodiversity. What are the primary causes of loss of biodiversity? What solutions can you suggest?

In recent decades, human beings have witnessed a significant loss of
biodiversity
. It is widely thought that the disappearance of plant and animal
species
is mainly caused by
humans’
Suggestion
human
destructive activities, but some solutions can be adopted to address
this
issue.
To begin
with, the loss of
biodiversity
is mainly attributed to humans themselves. The fact is that the population is increasing at an unprecedented rate, which gives rise to overused and
overexploited
natural resources. One of those resources is the forests that are home to millions of living
species
. Sadly, a big number of forests are being cleared for land and fuels.
Therefore
, it comes as no surprise that living
species
including plants and animals lose their home and gradually die out. Even worse, the disappearance of one
species
may lead to other
species
vanishing due to their interdependence on foods. Illegal hunting is
also
a contributor to
this
phenomenon.
For example
, some precious animals like bears, tigers, or deers are illegally poached and killed for skins, gall, and horns that are used in the fashion industry and medicine manufacturing.
However
, I claim that some feasible measures can be taken to mitigate
this
issue. In the short term, it is government intervention that may help to deal with
this
. Governmental and administrative bodies should promulgate strict penalties on illegal actions like hunting for endangered animals or destroying forests for illegal logging. In some countries like Australia, anyone caught taking
such
actions may suffer from a heavy fine or even conviction. In the long term, I contend that education is the most effective method to stop the number of
species
from disappearing. From an early age, children should be educated about the positive impacts of the preservation of
biodiversity
on the planet and humanity so that they can self-regulate their daily
behaviors
manner of acting or controlling yourself
behaviours
like littering trash indiscriminately into the sea, which may kill marine creatures. To conclude,
biodiversity
loss mainly results from human activities.
However
, with the above-mentioned solutions well-implemented, I do believe that
this
issue can be handled soon in the future.
