There has been a rise of people flocking to the shopping centre
instead
of the local shops. It is because customers have multiple options to shop at a commercial centre rather than in a roadside store. Many positives can be looked at
this
development,
although
few demerits can be overlooked for a thriving economy On the one hand, the local shops are loosing heat to compete against the retail giants establishing their outlets in every town and city.
this
Suggestion
This
phenomenon has a lot of advantages to the consumer, as they get wide variety options to choose from and an amazing customer service which many a times is ignored in all the small shops. For
this
reason the commercial centres are on the progress and bustling with their activities.
For example
The retail giant more supermarkets have increased its market share by double fold in the past five years as they were encouraged in their business across the country.
On the other hand
, due to increment in shopping malls, the unorganised retail sector is reaping economic benefits to the government, As all the retail chains at shopping centres are organised when compared to the unorganised shops on the roadside. The local stores never pay any taxes nor provide a proper invoice to its consumers, which has affected the revenues of the government.
For Instance
, due to the organised retail chains' growth the revenue collection has been on the upsurge for the past two years and directly benefiting the economy of the country. In Summary, the upswing of shopping centres has more positives than the demerits of closing down of local shops as consumers enjoy a wide variety of choices and customer service
in addition
to the economic benefits towards the national development.
