Work is being done on the street where you live. The noise is disturbing you. Write a letter of complaint to your local council. In your letter: Introduce yourself Explain what the problems is Suggest solutions to the problem
Dear Sir,
I am writing
this
letter with regards to the ongoing construction work
at the junction of Finch Street. I reside in the area, and at the same time, I represent my community as I am an active part of the Resident Welfare Association.
Even though the repairs are being done to benefit our neighbourhood in the long run, the workers have created havoc on the roads. We live in an extremely quiet suburban colony and our citizens are not used to the level of noise the labour is creating at all times. They are working beyond the permissible hours
, and additionally
, they are also
littering our beautiful surroundings. Many times, they begin work
in the wee hours
of the morning and thus
we are unable to get the integral rest hours
.
I would like to request you to look into this
matter on an urgent basis. Moreover
, we as a society have drafted a set of rules and regulations that we would like to formalise, for any work
to be undertaken in our neighbourhood. For instance
, we want to limit the number of hours
for the work
to be undertaken.
I await your prompt service.
Yours faithfully,
