Companies spend millions each year on advertising online in magazines and on billboards. These advertisements can encourage people to buy things that they do not need. What are the positive and negative side effects of consumerism?

Nowadays, companies are spending a vast amount of money behind the advertisement of their product. Adverts are medium to attract specific groups to buy products manufactured by an organization.

 advertisements consumers tend to buy unnecessary products many times, it leads to commercialism. I will discuss the positive and negative effects of consumerism in ensuring paragraphs. One of the advantages of consumerism is social development. In a consumeristic

, consumers are able to purchase products effortlessly as rival companies running behind a strain of market economy. Companies launching high-quality products and adverts them by internet, TV commercials, covert advertising, newspaper, magazines, telemarketing and so on, which enable customers to have many alternatives to choose from.
