Many people say that the use of animals for the purpose of experiments is cruel. To what extent do you agree or disagree with the statement.

The new century has seen a significant upsurge in the study of the electrophysiological
activity
in the neurons and its excitatory behaviours.
As a result
, new approaches have been used, where the
brain
cells are seen as RC electrical circuits. Because of
this
characteristic, the
brain
has the capacity to handle the induction of small current impulses, in order to overcome disorders and improve the memory and learning
activity
. Other approaches have been developed simultaneously, and they have proven to be effective in the treatment of Parkinson disease and seizures disorders.
However
, there are some limitations within these procedures and the influence of external factors is still one of the main issues in the measurements and recording of the
brain
electrical
activity
. From the engineering prospect, the
brain
cells behave as a group of electrical elements in a close circuit, allowing the current flow through its channels.
This
is possible because of the conducting properties of the intracellular and extracellular region of the neuron, and the resistance generated by the ion channels (Dabrowski et al., 2013). Recent studies have been using
this
characteristic to introduce an electrical stimulus in specific regions of the
brain
, in order to determine the synaptic strength or plasticity of the neurons.
This
emphasis has enabled
further
progress in the treatment of certain disease, memory and learning
activity
(Paille et la.,2013).
Moreover
, some machine interfaces inject a deep
brain
stimulation into the affected part of the
brain
, in order to control the electrical
activity
and decrease disorders. Indeed, thanks to
this
, the Parkinson disease can be treated or at least be less severe (Beudel, M. & Brown, P. 2016).
However
, electrical circuits in the engineering field are easily affected by environmental factors, magnetic fields, impedance and inductance (Abdalla et al., 2017).
Likewise
, the circuit within the
brain
might
also
be affected by these factors, causing a change in the electrical
activity
and in the electroencephalographic signals.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
