International tourism has become more popular in recent decades. However, this can have a considerable impact on the countries which attract large numbers of visitors. What positive and negative effects does tourism have on countries which are popular destinations?

It has been an increase in tourism worldwide, which is due to a diversity of factors, ranging from simple curiosity to status token on social media. As flying becomes more accessible money-wise, people have travelled more frequently to visit new countries and cultures.
However
, when it comes to the industry itself, tourism can bring both positive and negative effects on the local communities. In terms of its merits, job opportunities created by foreigner’s movement are on top positive changes, so as the money raised by the trades of goods, which sometimes is the primary source of income of native people. The awareness brought to local culture and problems, can

be cited as a way to help inhabitants’ life. Africa,

, has been visited by celebrities for decades, the poverty alertness has been spread all over the world, causing many people to stand up and help the country.

To sum up, tourism can be as constructive as destructive to society. It is up to the government and habitants’ assembly to prevent outsiders from interfering on their living conditions and to make sure their culture is being conserved despite the increase of visitants. So as it is their right and duty to not rely only on the travellers’ industry income, but assure their economy will continue to move and grow as the low season approaches.
