The chart illustrates the changes in mean distance travelled by a

 in a year by different modes of transportation in England from 1985 to 2000. Overall, the average miles covered by a

 increased in 2000 when compared to 1985, of which the cars were the most sorted means of transport. It is evident that there was almost 30 per cent increase in mean distance travelled by a
person
 in 2000 from 3199 miles in 1985.
Furthermore
, travelling by car rose up by more than 50per cent in 2000.
Similarly
, the journey by a long-distance bus doubled, as well as, the taxi travelling shot up by about 300 per cent, from 13 miles in 1985 to 42miles per

 in 2000.
On the other hand
, the distance covered in the local bus fell dramatically by around 40%, from 429 miles in 1985 to 274 miles in 2000.
Additionally
, travel by bicycle and by foot too decreased marginally with a total of around 300 miles and 270 miles in 1985 and 2000 respectively.

    • Sentence 3 - Prediction or recommendation
