Some people argue that all experimentation on animals is bad and should be outlawed. However, others believe that important scientific discoveries can be made from animal experiments. Can experimentation on animals be justified? Are there any alternatives?

The experimentation on animals is an urgent concern for many people nowadays considering the harmful consequences that it can bring to the species used. From my perspective, before taking a position regarding if
this
activity should be prohibited or must continue, several ethical issues must be discussed

.
First
of all, I strongly believe that considering the enormous and variety of sickness that exists today, we need to focus all our efforts in practice effective and reliable scientific research to improve the health of the people. Unfortunately, sometimes
this
process implies experiment several solutions in animals before applying them on humans.
This
is the current case of the COVID-19 vaccine, which is being developed for several laboratories around the world. All these institutions are testing their solutions on rats before evaluating their effects on humans. If
this
step is eschewed, humans could die during the process, which can lead to harmful consequences for the company (public reputation, legal consequences, among others).
On the other hand
, the experimentation in animals is based on the idea that human life is more relevant than animals-life, which I could not say
that is
totally true.
This
is why I believe that, when it is possible,

testing alternatives should be considered as well. Considering the development of technology during the

decades, we could use computers to do a

.
This
is the case of beauty companies, which in general do not test on animals anymore, after replacing their testing stages by computer-based simulations. There is not a right answer to

Therefore

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
