Many people believe that the human society has developed into a throw-away society, which is filled with plastic bags and rubbish. What are the causes and solutions?
It is argued that the world has had a tendency to modify into a throw-away society, which contains plastic bags and garbage. There are a number of reasons behind this phenomenon and several solutions should be adopted to improve the situation. There are two motives why our society has changed into a society filled by throw-away items. One explanation is that single-used items are convenient. These items are manufactured by elastic materials, therefore, not only are they durable but they also are moved easily. For example, nylon bags are used popularly on the ground that although they are super thin and light, they could contain many things. Furthermore, disposal items are cheaper than reusable items. The manufacture of products is far more expensive than that of single-used ones. As a result, many factories produce throw-away items instead of eco friendly ones and consumers tend to purchase cheaper products to use. Fortunately, several measures could be taken to prevent this problem. The first solution would be to restrict the manufacture of plastic products. The government should stipulate the amount of throw-away products produced annually. Punishment should be applied if factories manufacture more plastic items than the allowed amount. The second measure is that these factories have to pay high tax for plastic items. High tax in manufacturing leads to high cost of products. As a result, there would be a decrease in the amount of consumed single-used products. In conclusion, it is clear that there are various culprits of the appearance of the throw-away society and the above resolutions should be implemented urgently to resolve this issue.
