In the modern world, the image (photograph or film) is becoming a more powerful way of communicating than the written word. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

A popular topic today is regarding whether photographs and movies are more expressive approach than writings, poetry, and even books. It is commonly believed that
this
is true.
However
, in
this
essay, I am going to elaborate on
this
topic and show my disapproval.
To begin
with, communicating by using writing is far more complex and detailed than images. Even though photography and films have gathered popularity in the
last
century, they cannot show everything in details.
For instance
, a movie based on a novel will not be able to illustrate the emotions of the writer.
This
happens because actors can play their own characters brilliantly, but the public is too distracted by other factors,
such
as visual effects, due to which it will miss important features. In the meantime, an individual engrossed in the novel cannot miss anything, because everything is subsequent.
Furthermore
, a written poem or any other form of writing is more emotional. Of course, there are a lot of intriguing films that can make a person cry their eyes out.
Nevertheless
, poetry and novels can express an author feelings better than any image or visualisation can.
For example
, a piece of writing will be able to convey a touching message to a person if there is an emotional connection between the writer and and and individual.
This
is why it is considered beautiful for a person in love to write a message and not watch a movie with his partner. To conclude, I firmly believe that ,
although
there is a charm in the cinematography, I would still prefer a quaint book over an image. In the modern world, images are becoming a powerful method of communicating but it will never replace reading, due to its expressive nature.
