nternet has become a prevalent way for people to get a connection with the world. Most people prefer reading news online
instead
of reading a
newspaper
or watching Tv. I personally believe that it is a positive development since it helps people get the most updated news and reduce the
use
of materials too. Among all the reasons why getting news online is a positive breakthrough, probably the most significant one is that Internet allows a quick flow of information, which people can get the latest news at any time and anywhere as long as they are connected to the Internet. Apple Daily News,
for example
, provides instant news for readers to review online. Another point to note is that reading news online enables people to search for
further
information or see the same incident from different press quickly. Since different press companies hold various stances to news they report, by viewing different reports readers can
use
critical thinking and judge wisely. Watching the news from Tv is
however
too time-consuming since they have set schedule. Never should we overlook the fact that reduce the
use
of
newspaper
can promote environmentally friendly effect.
For example
, a
newspaper
is printed on paper with ink.

stalls and convenient stores, which require petroleum
use
. Reading news online, in turn, reduce the
use
of these non-sustainable resources and help save our planet. Watching less Tv
also
saves up electricity and reduces the
use
of energy. Under
this
line of thinking, I totally agree that browsing news online is beneficial to individuals and

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
