In some countries, owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people. Why might this be the case? Do you think this is a positive or negative situation?

Owning a new
home
seems to be the more preferable option as compared to renting a
place
. The
first
option provides freedom, security and comfort to house owners while the
second
is a viable alternative for middle to low wage workers. From my viewpoint, both options highly depend on each person’s preference and financial circumstances. The main advantage is the comfort and privacy that most people would crave for their own
place
. Unlike renting a
place
, owners do not need to abide by rules imposed by landlords which could be stringent about any modifications.
Hence
, a house of your own means you can decorate and modify your property according to your personal preference and style.
Moreover
, it is pleasurable to go
home
to a beautiful
place
which comforts your eyes and exhausted physically from the long day at work. On the other side of the coin, owning a
home
might not be plausible for certain people. Back
then
the selling price was relatively cheap whereas nowadays the selling price is high and substantially increases each year. The price is exceptionally high in city areas accompanied by significant maintenance cost makes buying a
home
out of the question.
This
is mostly true especially to youth as they perceive renting is more economical.
In addition
, it is better to find a
place
that fits the budget with no worries of maintenance cost rather than working tirelessly to be able to afford a
home
. To conclude, while dwelling in our own
home
brings greater freedom, the unaffordable rate deprives youth of purchasing their own house. It brings a positive effect but may put homeowners in a negative situation.
Thus
, opting for a rented
place
seems to be a financially secure choice.
