Some people think that it is more important to plant more trees in open area in towns and cities than build more housing. To what extend do you agree or disagree?

The ever-rising development of urbanization has improved our living quality considerably in the
last
few decades.
Nevertheless
, many people argue that modern
cities
are too crowded to live in and it is necessary for us to plant more trees in public zones
instead
of constructing more buildings. From my perspective, the benefits of improving gardening outweigh its drawbacks and our lives can be significantly benefited from it. Without doubts, every inch of land inside the
cities
is precious and choosing to plant gardening in these areas seems to be wasting their potential. If new houses can be built inside the
city
, more working forces could be attracted to live and labour inside the
cities
, which is likely to improve the productivity of the local society as a whole and speed up the urban development.
By contrast
, urban-gardening usually requires a great deal of money to construct and takes up a large space while it hardly generates any monetary revenue for the citizens. Despite not being able to benefit the
city
economically, the advantages of constructing urban gardens are twofold.
Firstly
, the noise pollution inside the urban area can be reduced. Nowadays, cars and
city
construction has become one of the main sources of noise pollution in many
cities
around the world. Planting up more tree help to absorb these sounds effectively and leaves a quieter living environment for the residents.
Furthermore
,
city
gardens provide the opportunity for citizens to get relax after working,
for instance
, by having a walk with families in the parks after dinner, which could greatly improve the satisfaction of the residents. To put up everything into consideration, despite the fact the building up houses can attract more labour forces into the
cities
, I regard planting trees as a wiser choice since not only could parks solve noise issues but
also
it could improve the living environment for the residents.
