Fresh water has always been a limited resources in some part of the world today, however, growing world wide demand had made this a global problem. What are the causes of the increase demand and what measures can government and individuals take to respond to this problem.

Water
is the basic constituent of human survival, but the rocketing
demands
will exceed the limited amount of
water
in the globe in the future. In the following essay, I will explain the reason for growing
demands
and suggest some methods that citizens and societies can do to resolve problems caused. On the one hand, the basic cause of increasing needs is the rising population. In the present world, there are 7 billion people, which is already a huge demand.
However
,
this
figure is still being larger. Apart from daily uses, there are
also
growing derived
demands
. One apparent example can be seen from infants’ toys that require
water
as a production factor. An increasing number of infants leads to rising demand for those toys, as well as the needs for freshwater.
Therefore
, the increment of the population is the elementary reason for consuming more
water
.
On the other hand
,
although
the demand for
water
rocket recently, there are two methods for the residents and governments to take.
Firstly
, people can save the usage of
water
by not wasting it. In daily life, there are millions of tonnes of
water
wasted per day by simply forgetting to turn off the tap.
This
can be resolved by reminding everyone around the world to do so, which will decrease the rate of diminishing storage of
water
. The
second
way is to recycle. As for all individuals, they can do
this
by using distilled
water
left in the pot to irrigate plants. When it comes to the government, it should subsidy recycling programmes and invest more in technology that can turn wastewater into a fresh one, which can increase the supply to encounter the rising
demands
. In conclusion,
although
it is a global problem of rocketing needs of
freshwater

, there are stills a variety of ways to deal with it. We should pay more attention to
this
issue, and take actions immediately.

Support ideas with relevant, specific examples

Examples make your writing easier to understand by illustrating points more effectively.

Examples, if used properly, not only help you get higher marks for ‘Task Response’ but also for ‘Coherence’.

When giving examples it is best to put them after your main idea or topic sentence. They can be used in the middle of supporting sentences or they can be used to start a new sentence. There is no rule for where exactly to give examples in essays, logically they would come after your main idea/topic sentence or just after a supporting sentence.

Linking words for giving examples:

  • for example
  • for instance
  • to illustrate this
  • to give a clear example
  • such as
  • namely
  • to illustrate
  • take, for example
