Some people think that money is one of the most essential factors in promoting happiness. Do you think people can be happy without much money? what other factors contribute towards happiness?

A section of society believes that
money
plays a vital role in elating human
happiness
.
However
, in my opinion,
although
money
helps in fulfilling the basic needs and desires of an individual, other factors can help an individual in leading a contented and happy
life
.
Although
money
helps fulfil desires like branded apparel or expensive cars, it does not mean that someone leading
such
an affluent
life
can be happy.
This
is because to earn
such
lumpsum
money
,
one
needs to work for long working hours. It might not only affect the health of an individual but
also
result in creating an emotional rift from his family. In the absence of love and care of his near and dear ones, a person might undergo depression and be devoid of
happiness
.
On the other hand
, an individual who has an earning that suffices to meet the basic daily needs but has the emotional support of his family leads a happier and contented
life
than the
one
who has the desired finances.
In addition
to a loving family, multiple factors are responsible for the
happiness
of an individual.
Firstly
,
one
of the primary reasons that attribute to human contentment is
job
security and
job
satisfaction. A stable
job
not only brings in financial stability but
also
eliminates the fear of losing his
job
. Since the person is happy at his workplace, he can spare time for recreational activities like playing a sport, reading, etc.
This
work-
life
balance helps an individual in leading a stress-free
life
which
further
elates human
happiness
.
Secondly
, a healthy body
also
assists in leading a happy
life
. It means an individual who follows a healthy regime will develop immunity to various diseases
such
as obesity, diabetes, etc.
On the other hand
, someone who is materialistic and works for long working hours tends to follow a sedentary lifestyle. As a consequence, he will be vulnerable to health problems like blood pressure, stress, etc.
This
may hamper his
happiness
and prevent him from living a stress-free
life
.
Hence
, a physically fit person is more relaxed than
one
who has more capital but has health-related issues. To sum up,
money
helps in meeting basic needs but it is not the only factor that surges human
happiness
. Other factors
such
as a stable
job
and health contribute towards the contentment and
happiness
of an individual.

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
