These days, fooddays, food travels long distances before reaching consumers, and it is therefore believed that consuming locally grown food would bring about a number of economic and environmental benefits. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages ?

These days, the import and export of processed food items including groceries have reached their peak point. People are inclined towards buying canned goods
instead
of products that are freshly available in the market. Some folks look at
this
as a result
of industrialization
however
, most people are not an eye to eye with buying foreign goods. The below essay will elaborate on how purchasing international products affects the native crowd.
Firstly
, if perishable food products are to be transported across countries, it might incur an extra cost as they will have to be protected from getting damaged.
Furthermore
, officers will have to deal with timelines and logistics of transport before exporting the items. It is true that

it is imperative for them to know that the commodity is sold at twice its price. It is surprising to see that developed countries like the USA have all vegetables and fruits available for supply throughout the year, whereas Indians struggle to get mangoes in the month of December. Even after importing items retailers will have to incorporate transport charges, taxes and competitor's price before finalising the rate for a product.
This
gravely affects the lower-middle-class community,
also
those who live their lives following budgets. On the flip side, if humans start the practice of relishing home-grown food and buying vegetables grown by the local farmers, they can be exempted from paying taxes and extra money to the government. Consuming native pulses, fruits and vegetables will
also
increase the GDP(Gross domestic product) of our country, it will help improve our immune power and children can be raised in an eco-friendly environment
that is
free from pollution.
For example
,local shops and supermarkets will outgrow international chains like Reliance fresh. Thereby, being born in a land of agriculture, I think it is our duty to contribute towards making our country a better place to live in. Banning international goods will help to improve the economic conditions of our country and
also
help to maintain a green environment.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
