Some people think that space exploration is a waste of resources while other thinks that it is essential for the human kind to continue to explore the universe in which we live. Discuss both views and give your own opinion

Over the past few years,
space
exploration
has been one of the most discussed topics in society. While some people suggested that exploring
space
is crucial for humanity, others argued that it is somewhat a waste of resources. In
this
essay, I will discuss both sides of the argument, while strongly opine with the advantages of
space
exploration
. Despite the current trend of investing in scientific research to explore
space
, some people oppose the idea and believe that the government should rather deal with the ongoing problems on Earth before going to outer
space
.
This
is because the survival of humanity should be the priority and the enormous spendings on
space
exploration
have achieved
such
little except for a slight advancement in technology that can
instead
be used to improve the living conditions of the human population. Not to mention the excessive consumption of resources and energy that can be utilized for other means. To exemplify, according to the New York Times, the expenses of the NASA moon landing that cost over $1 billion dollars can be used to put Americans out of poverty.
On the other hand
, the
exploration
of
space
is considered to be an essential finding to address the fundamental questions about the planet existence and universe. By investigating the galaxy, it allows us to discover new findings of the potential danger beyond our planet and open the new possibilities to learn about other territories that are habitable.
Moreover
,
space
exploration
stimulates new scientific discoveries and the evolution of technology.
For instance
, the Chinese authority was able to detect possible incoming asteroids and predict the location of impact.
This
not only assists the identification of
space
objects but
also
lessen the casualties from the event. In conclusion,
although
there are certain opinions against
space
exploration
, from my perspective, I believe that exploring the expanse beyond Earth can be beneficial in many ways.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
