A museum near your home is looking for people to do part-time voluntary/unpaid work. You would like to do some voluntary/unpaid work at the museum. Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the unpaid work. In your letter: Explain why you want to do voluntary work at the museum. Describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful. Give details of when you would be available for work.

Dear Sir, I am writing
this
letter to reply to your advertisement for a voluntary job vacancy in your museum for part-time workers. I would like to apply for
this
work and hope you will give me a chance.
Firstly
, it would be pleasant for me to work in a museum and
also
a great experience. I have had a great interest in
history
since childhood and I was looking for an opportunity in which I can increase my knowledge about
history
.
In addition
, by working in the museum, I can learn more about ancient times and the artwork of our country.
Moreover
, I have a piece of knowledge of computer and finance so I can handle the accounts very well.
Next
to
this
, I read so many books of
history
and collect data for old monuments and sculptures; I can explain the related
history
of items to visitors. These days, I am doing a full-time job, so I am free in the evening during weekdays, and on weekends I am full-time available. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours sincerely, Kirandeep Kaur

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
