It is sometimes said that borrowing money from a friend can harm or damage the friendship. Do you agree? Why or why not?

Many people claim that supporting a
friend
financially can damage the
friendship
. I do not agree with
this
statement because true
friendship
is not based on
money
but rather supportive and trusting . Why do we keep friends if not for moral support and help?We all have partners to whom we can turn whenever we are in need especially during a critical moment .
Moreover
, what makes it even special is the fact that she will do the same in a reverse circumstance.
That is
why it is called
friendship
. Giving
money
to a
friend
does not harm the relationship but rather strengthen the bond we have . I think a true companion is someone that lift me up when I am in crisis. It is true that borrowing
money
from a
friend
can make you feel septic because you are not sure if he is capable of paying it back . That is where the level of trust comes in and as much as I am concerned, I believe that a true relationship is based on trust . From my personal experience, my
friend
always comes to me whenever she needs financial support because she knows I will always be there for her and I know her moral values. Like someone, said: « A
friend
in need is a
friend
indeed ». To conclude , a true
friendship
is not based on
money
but rather on mutual interest.Helping each other , morally, been supportive and financially present when we are the most in need is the true meaning of
friendship
.
