Climate change is one

 collaborate to discuss and find solutions for

 alarming and unprecedented problem. A few people argue that developed
nations
 have a greater
responsibility
 to tackle

 situation whereas others believe that developing
nations
 share equal
responsibility
 in handling it. In the following paragraphs, I will discuss both views using relevant examples and conclude with my opinion. The opinion that developed
nations
 have a higher
responsibility
 to tackle climate change involves the recognition of the fact that most of the pollutants causing these changes are discharged by many of the developed
countries
. A recent study has shown that the average carbon footprint of a US citizen is twenty times higher than that of an Asian citizen.
Moreover
, developed economies have better resources at their disposal to combat the situation. On the other side, people who believe that developing
nations
 have the same
responsibility
 base their argument on the fact that these
countries
 have seen the consequences and can steer towards more sustainable solutions from start.
This
 will not only help them to get recognized internationally but
also
 provide a model for developed
nations
 to follow and achieve the desired goal. In my opinion, it is a collective
responsibility
 of all
nations
 to protect the environment. Since the profound effects of climate change will impact developing and developed
nations
 alike. Both developed and developing
countries
 should play at their strengths and help each other to protect the environment and sustain the beautiful planet for future generations.
