Some people think it is cruel to keep animals in zoos. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

powerful source of amazement and entertainment.
However
, over the
last
few decades, social awareness of animal rights has aroused ethical questions regarding how cruel can the zoo industry be. From my perspective, keeping animals in cages should definitely be eradicated but some ways of protecting endangered animals from extinction need to be developed. There are some understandable reasons why zoos are still so popular all over the world. Defenders of these establishments tend to argue
that is
not only a way of keeping fauna safe from predators but
also
a magnificent source of learning for the youngsters. Children’s excitement when feeding a giraffe or a monkey in the mouth is impossible to deny and is likely to become one of the greatest memories of their childhood.
Therefore
, school visits are still one of the main arguments justifying the existence of the business.
On the other hand
, activists insist on the cruelty of having animals locked just for entertainment or basic learning. There are definitely less invasive methods that
also
promote educational environments without jeopardizing animal’s wellbeing.
For instance
, the experiences of sanctuaries or protected reserves are clear examples of how to take care of endangered species keeping human interference to the minimum. As a consequence, activists believe that the replacement of traditional zoos with these models is the
first
step to pay the long debt humanity has with the animal kingdom. On balance,
although
zoos have always been a massive part of societies helping children understand the wonders of wildlife, it is time to modify the structure of the business to a more free and friendly environment. I strongly believe is the government’s responsibility to lead the change by encouraging the transition with financial benefits and protective laws to prosecute those against it.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
