A growing number of people feel that animals should not be exploited by people and that they should have the same rights as humans, while others argue that humans must employ animals to satisfy their various needs , including uses for food and research. Discuss both views and give your opinion

Animals
serve a wide range of uses for homosapiens. While some people agree with
this
, others believe they should have the same rights as humans. In
this
essay, I will be discussing both views along with my opinion.
To begin
with, certain
creatures
serve specific purposes that can aid human survival. Every year a number of new ailments are starting to pop up and we need medicines to treat them. To illustrate, new medication does not warrant safety on humans until its tested,
hence
people need to take the assistance of several
creatures
such
as rats, monkeys and many more for scientific breakthroughs.
Although
there are many scientific benefits from
creatures
, we need to consciously make sure we do not lose out on the human factor while engaging in
such
acts.
Animals
are being hunted down for their fur and other parts. Nowadays, due to a lack of empathy, mammals are being chased and killed for their skin and valuable parts.
For example
, elephants are being hunted down and their tusks are being sold in the black market.
Moreover
,
this
brutal killing is leading the species towards endangerment. As people, we need to step in to ensure that these
creatures
live a good life and restrict
such
unwanted murders. By way of conclusion, there are positives and negatives in the way we utilise and treat
animals
,
however
, as humans we need to be empathetic towards
animals
as they live and breathe just as much as we do.

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 250 words in writing task 2. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long essay will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 260 to 290 words in writing task 2. This will ensure a concise essay and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 40 minutes to write the essay and you need around 10 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long essay in 30 minutes.
