In some countries, it is now possible for people to buy a wide variety of foods transported from all over the world. To what extent do the benefits of this development outweigh the drawbacks?

was considered a luxury pleasure when diners had to spend a lot of money to go to expensive restaurants or even travel to a specific country. Nowadays, with the development of transportation, thousands of different foods are imported and easily delivered to consumers through supermarkets and fast
food
stores.
Although
bringing certain benefits, I personally believe that
this
development still has negative aspects as it will be analyzed in the following essay.
To begin
with,
food
exports bring enormous economic benefits to all
countries
in the world.
In addition
, it
also
supports the process of culinary cultural exchange between different
countries
, shortening the geographical distance between gourmets around the world.
For instance
, despite being heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam still receives a huge profit from becoming the leading rice exporter.
Besides
, those who love the taste of Vietnamese rice can fully

this
dish at an affordable price.
However
, worldwide
food
trade can lead to an imbalance in
food
distribution within a country. Nowadays, the
food
production and storage technology of Western
countries
and some other developed Asian
countries
such
as Japan or Korea has outperformed the technology in developing
countries
. Consumers in these
countries
prefer to buy foreign foods rather than spend the same amount of money on domestic foods due to the reason that they think domestic
food
cannot maintain the quality and
last
long like those abroad.
As a result
, local products lose their advantages and economic efficiency. To draw up, in order to achieve the optimal benefits for all
countries
, localities must proactively improve the
food
’s quality and ensure that local businesses will not lose their strength even with the intervention of exported
food
.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
