Some people think that a sense of competition in children should be encouraged .Others believe that children who are taught to co-operate rather than compete become more more useful adult's. Discuss both these views and give your opinion

Some folks are of the opinion that
children
who are
home
-schooled develop better than their counterparts who attend conventional
schools
. The merits of both methods of formal education and my opinion will be discussed in subsequent paragraphs.

children

,are influenced negatively by their peer groups. Some of these negative influences include smoking, drug abuse and illicit sex.
Also
,teaching
children
at
home
enables them to learn at their own pace,as it affords them one on one interaction with their tutor. Some
children
may have learning disabilities
such
as dyslexia, which may make learning in a public

difficult.
Furthermore
,kids who are taught at
home
,are at less risk of bullying and maltreatment by some unscrupulous pupils and teachers. Attending a conventional

and tend to grow up with some ill manners. There are limits to teaching a
child
at
home
,unlike in conventional
schools
.
For example
,it is only in a
school
that a
child
can learn the practical aspects of some science subjects
such
as physics and chemistry. Schooling enables
children
to interact with their age mates, share ideas and make good friends, unlike
children
who learn at
home
,and may interact with only their family members. In my opinion,
children
should be taught at
home
,while at the kindergarten level.
This
stage is the foundation of learning, and the parents and private tutor can lay a solid foundation for the
child
academically. As
children
grow older, and advance in classes, they must attend conventional
schools
. At
this
stage,the parents may

hire a private tutor to teach the

hours. In conclusion,teaching
children
at
home
is best for the
child
's development,during the
first
five years of life. The
children
can be made to attend conventional
schools
as they grow older.

Support ideas with relevant, specific examples

Examples make your writing easier to understand by illustrating points more effectively.

Examples, if used properly, not only help you get higher marks for ‘Task Response’ but also for ‘Coherence’.

When giving examples it is best to put them after your main idea or topic sentence. They can be used in the middle of supporting sentences or they can be used to start a new sentence. There is no rule for where exactly to give examples in essays, logically they would come after your main idea/topic sentence or just after a supporting sentence.

Linking words for giving examples:

  • for example
  • for instance
  • to illustrate this
  • to give a clear example
  • such as
  • namely
  • to illustrate
  • take, for example
