In some countries young people are encouraged to work or travel for a year between finishing high school and starting university studies. Discuss the advantage and disadvantage for young people who decide to do this.

In some countries, working or travelling for a year before pursuing university
studies
has become increasingly popular among young people after completing high
school
. There are both merits and demerits for both and I will explain that in detail in
this
essay. Working after high
school
enables
students
to get experience in communication and how to deal with problems which will help them for
career
growth. Many
students
now a day’s are working in café or small companies to get the experience. ,
Also
some prefer travelling before joining universities s that they can explore the world and meet new people.
This
will help them to make new contacts which will ultimately be useful for their
career
.
Students
who have work experience perform better in his or her academics because they had already learnt how to deal with tuff situations.
On the contrary
, some
students
start liking their job and quit their
studies
they only focus on earnings. If they take break or
gap
of the year they find it difficult to study they lost the touch with their
studies
. They started liking earning money so they stopped their
studies
and concentrate on earning which will ultimately affect their
career
.
For example
, if a youngster wants to explore the place after high
school
he can but he has to return for
studies
after the
gap
instead
of continuing his travels. To ,summaries young people can work or travel after high
school
as long as they complete their education after a
gap
of a year. But if they don’t return back to
studies
then
they are spoiling their own
career
. So we have to encourage
students
to complete their
studies
after taking a
gap
.
