The Charts Below Show the Changes in Ownership of Electrical Appliances

bar graph illustrates data about the percentage of households having their own electrical appliances. While the latter graph represents the number of housework per week in households between 1920 to 2019. In general, it can be seen that the trend for owning electrical appliances was upward through the given period and the hours of housework experienced the opposite direction. In detail, in 1920, most households had washing machines and refrigerators at 40% and 30% respectively.
On the other hand
, there was no existence of the vacuum cleaner. Afterwards, these 3 products were widely well-known and it decreased the percentage of the washing machine by 60%, refrigerator at 50% and vacuum cleaner at 55%. Interestingly, the vacuum cleaner surged to 90% in only 20 years and continued to 100% in 1980 and throughout the given period.

, the trend of refrigerators reached its peak at 100% in 1980. For the washing machine, there was fractionation between 1960 to 2000.
