In the future all cars, buses and trucks will be driverless. The only people traveling inside these vehicles will be passengers. Do you think the advantages of driverless vehicles outweigh the disadvantages? *Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.*

There has been a ton of discussion around the issue of driverless cars, some people argue that they are dangerous while others claim that they are a novel invention from the technology industry that will help society to be more productive and self-sufficient. In
this
essay, we will argue some of the advantages and disadvantages of
this
development.
Subsequently
, I will explain why, personally, I do think that the positive outcome is more important than the minimal drawbacks. The
first
advantage I would like to discuss is that one involving people with disabilities
such
as paraplegia or those visually impaired, citizens who could be able to mobilize through the city without the necessity of someone else driving them.
This
situation brings a self-sufficient sensation that helps them deal with their condition on a psychological level. Of course, we cannot forget that these automobiles are controlled by inner computers, there is a tiny possibility that one command or circuit fails, and that will contribute to a breakdown of the entire system. As a scientist, I personally believe that
this
situation is improbable, there have to be simulations meticulously carried out before any vehicle is realized to the market. Another important advantage of
this
novelty of technology involves drivers of commercial transport trucks who must drive day and night. With the help of
this
type of robot, they can rest at night without losing time on the road.
This
is a well-known problem in the world, those commercial drivers spend hours in their trucks transporting any type of products, with the help of
this
automation they have the possibility of choosing when to drive and when to leave that responsibility to the machine. In my personal opinion,
this
advantage helps all those workers to have a full night of rest before taking the wheels again, minimizing the risk of collision or falling asleep while driving. All things considered, no one can argue that any type of innovation requires advance and specialized security and quality controls, big companies will not risk themselves releasing a car like
this
into the market without
first
making sure that they are completely safe.
