Some people think that getting old is a negative thing, whereas others think it is much easier for people to live in modern society. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

When it comes to the effect of the increase of age, opinions vary from person to person. Some are firm believers that becoming an elder is disadvantageous, while others argue that it is not a serious thing nowadays.
Next
, I will analyze both the standing points in
this
essay. On one hand, there are several points standing for the decreased worry of ageing.
To begin
with, getting old does have some benefits. Elder
people
have much more useful experiences and skills compared to young
people
due to their longer life span.
Therefore
, it is easier for the old to deal with the problems in the workplace especially the occupation that demands various working experiences
such
as doctors and lawyers.
Moreover
, with technological innovations flourishing, the daily lives of the elderly are becoming more convenient than in the past time. Living standards of the old have been tremendously lifted through a series of infrastructures specially constructed for the old
people
,
such
as a particular device embodied in the showering equipment for the improvement of the safety of users, which will ring if it is clicked. At the same time, the nursing industry is booming and the needs of caring old
people
can be easily met.
On the other hand
, the widely negative opinion about the growing age does have some reasons.
Firstly
, as age accumulates, the function of the human's body is undermined in a range of aspects.
For example
, the visual function decreases, the body turns rigid, the memory declines, and diseases happen more frequently.
That is
the reason why
people
are afraid of getting old. Meanwhile, the nursery system for the elder has not developed well especially in developing countries,
for example
, the lack of related infrastructures and professional workers. So for most of the families in the world, it is a preferable choice to care for parents at home, which is a burden for both the senior and the young citizens. From my perspective,
people
should still worry about the issue of getting old. Even though for many elder
people
, their lives are not inconvenient, but they are mostly from developed countries. It is still a huge problem for many
people
in emerging economies worldwide.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
