Fossil fuels are essential for producing electricity, powering industry and fueling transportation. However, one day we will reach a point when all the world’s fossil fuels have been depleted. How can we conserve these resources? What are some alternatives to fossil fuels?

Non-renewable
sources
,
such
as coal and petroleum are the backbone of the electricity, power and fuel industries. As these
sources
are depleting at an alarming rate, they will soon be finished.
Therefore
, it has long been a subject of discussion about how these resources can be conserved and what other alternatives could replace the usage of these
fuels
.
This
essay will discuss both, using pertinent arguments. There are several ways that can help conserve these resources and the most conspicuous one lies in the fact that renewable
sources
of
energy
should be introduced more promptly into the industry

so that people are able to afford them. An electric car,
for example
, is way more expensive than that of a car that runs on petrol and there is
also
less variety available in these sorts of cars. In simple words, the field lacks variety and the products are expensive.
Hence
, it is apparent that to conserve these resources there is a need for a replacement, and the replacement has to be more tempting. Fossil
fuels
produce
energy
on burning, and
hence
they can be defined as the power
sources
to run any industry.
Similarly
, whatever that can generate power can replace fossil
fuels
. Renewable
sources
of
energy
,
such
as wind
energy
, solar
energy
and hydraulic
energy
, which are generated from the wind, sun and water respectively, can easily replace coal and petroleum. These are environment friendly and are available in abundance. From what has been discussed above, it can be concluded that renewable
sources
like sun, water and wind have the capability to replace and conserve fossil
fuels
, but more work is required to make people more inclined towards the usage of these
sources
.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
