Computers are being used more and more in education. Some people say that this is a positive trend, while others argue that it is leading to negative consequences. Discuss both sides of this argument and then give your own opinion.

The adoption of
computers
is increasing day by day owing to rapid technological advancements.
However
, the education sector has seen a tremendous surge in the
usage
of
computers
more recently which is arguable in terms of the positives and negatives it might impose on the audience. While the digitalization of academia has a few disadvantages, the enticing benefits provide an edge and promote the idea of leveraging
computers
for the purpose of education. A few factors endorse the digital transformation taking place in learning centres. The prime benefit
that is
extended by the
usage
of
computers
in academic institutions is the acquaintance of students with technology.
For example
, most of the organizations require employees with basic familiarity with computer
usage
and as the students are well acquainted with
computers
due to the academic dependencies, they display a higher potential to the employers.
Additionally
, digital resources eliminate redundant tasks from the curriculum, fostering a healthy learning environment. A straightforward example for
this
would be the in-built calculator in
computers
which simplifies the complex calculations allowing the academician to better focus on concepts. Contrastingly, digitization of the study environment brings along some negatives. Due to extensive computer
usage
in academics, the habit of writing by hand is diminishing. To provide an example, handwriting, which was considered an important factor in the primary grades of schooling during the 1990s, has lost its importance as the students possess a tendency to type rather than write by hand. Needless to mention, the adverse effects on health, posed by the extensive
usage
of
computers
can be harmful in the long run. Cervical and weak eyesight are a few health problems that should not be sidelined. Considering the optimism and pessimism proposed in the paragraphs above, I support the
usage
of technical tools in the education sector. While the negative effects can be countered by taking the right measures, the benefits appear to be irreplaceable. Concludingly, the conjectures discussed above provide a holistic view of the scenario taking into consideration the pros and the cons. The rapid pace of digital transformation has
further
elevated the need to adapt constantly and break the shackles of traditional learning methods.
