“A friend in power is a friend lost.” Do you agree or disagree with this statement by Henry Brooks Adams? Support your ideas with reasoning and examples.

The sentence " A
friend
in power is a
friend
lost" is quoted by the writer Henry Brooks Adams.
This
portrays the fluctuations in a relationship when it comes to wealth or power. As I would not agree with
this
statement, It depends upon the maturity and mentality of the individuals getting involved. In the
first
place, the bond between the friends wouldn't get altered because of the kind of situation they get in. Actually, Friendship is a bridge that links a group of people with just love and caring unless seeing only the facade of them.
Furthermore
, If it comes to helping tendency, they provide their full energy and effort to give their hands to their friends. It is up to the intense relationship they're indulged into and it doesn't matter if they have got every capability and wealth to determine the linkage of friends. For an instance, my
friend
came to help me in my worst situation even though she wasn't well enough at that period of time. Everyone needs a
friend
who can understand, care and love them in every crucial condition.
However
, it is not a sure thing if it gets lost when there's a leading power or wealthy condition. So, I strongly disagree with the point of view of our Author Henry Brooks Adams.
