Dear Anuradha, Hope you have settled down your work. How are your family members? Pass warm regards to them. As you know I have participated in a year-end music event at Dickwella resort which is situated near to sea beach. It was one of the vivid shows I have ever participated in. The hotel staff had prepared tons of fun activities for guests. They had arranged a delicious buffet with a variety of foods. There will be the
second
edition of
this
event on 25th February. I warmly welcome you to participate in
this
beautiful event and I can arrange accommodations for you. I look forward to a favourable response from you. Yours sincerely, Lahiru Dilshan Baduge.

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
