Some people say that the increasing business and cultural contact between countries brings many positive effects. Others say that it causes the loss of national identities. Discuss both sides and give your own opinion.

The era of globalisation has increased the interdependence between nations and people. The financial and cultural impact of
this
situation is constantly under discussion, and whilst others may argue that
this
is beneficial to the progress of society, others claim that national values and identities are in jeopardy.
This
essay will examine both views and explain why contact between societies is valuable. It is notorious for the rise of economic and cultural interconnection amid countries and folks.
This
is a consequence of the industry, immigration and the internet, which allowed the exchange of resources and cultural aspects in many parts of the globe. In spite of the fact that contact among different societies is common since the most remote times, it has increased for the
last
decades
as a result
of capitalism and migration. We can cite as an example of how
this
situation is benign to the society's development, the advancement in technology, which was possible

the provision of resources and techniques to the industry, and the cultural enrichment. To

one, we can mention the exposure of new ways of life, customs, cuisines and knowledge. For
this
reason, I would say that humanity's progress, as in the past, is only possible with the exchange and cooperation between the different peoples of the world.
On the other hand
, the biggest complaint about globalization is that it poses a dangerous threat to the lifestyle, culture, stability and sovereignty of nations. In the past, powerful empires invaded less developed regions of the globe in search of resources, exploiting the local population, even by force, which led these places to poverty, and that even today we can see the consequences. Equally important is the event
that is
very frequent these days, which is the migration of poor crowds to more developed regions,
such
as from Africa to Europe. In many European countries, natives complain that the arrival of immigrants undermines the health system, the job market, not to mention the increase in crime.
Although
this
might be true,
this
viewpoint ignores the fact that foreigners can contribute to the economy. We can mention the highly skilled persons who suppress the high demand for specialised jobs, and those who open local businesses,
such
as restaurants and stores, generating job opportunities for the locals. In the light of the outlined arguments and examples, I genuinely believe that the economic interdependence between countries, and the cultural exchange among people from many regions of the world, contribute to humanity's progress.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
