It is better for college students to live far away from home than live at home with their parents. Do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
In modern society, there are different types of lifestyles in each family. It is often said that it is better for college students to live by themselves than living with their
parents
. It is clear that there are more negative aspects of living without their family for the young. Thus
, it is better for them to live with their families
.
The first
aspect to point out is that the youths still need financial support from their families
. There is no doubt that parents
need to provide their children with not only school fees but also
costs for accommodation and daily food. This
can be a burden for the family because they also
need to maintain their daily life. Although
some may say that the youths can work as part-time workers, it can be stressful or it might affect their performance in their study.
However
, it could be suggested that the young may be able to improve their independence. For example
, it is the young's responsibility to maintain their daily life, including cleaning their house and preparing their food without relying on their mothers. As a result
, they would gain this
independence as they live far away from their families
. Additionally
, this
experience would help them to appreciate their parents
.
Another important issue is that the young also
need to have support in terms of their health. For instance
, if a student lived alone and got sick, they would not have someone who could help them immediately. Additionally
, they would not be able to go to see a doctor when it is necessary which may cause more severe problems.
To conclude, despite having a positive aspect of improving the young's independence, there are more negative developments of living far away from their parents
. College students still need support from their family members, thus
, it is better for them to live with their families
