Some people say that it is possible to tell a lot about a person’s culture and character from their choice of clothes. Do you agree or disagree?
Some
people
believe that they can learn more details about one person’s culture and personality based on their clothing selections. In my point of view, I strongly agree with this
notion.
To begin
with, there are various reasons why clothes
can depict the wearers’ cultural traits and personalities. First
of all, each culture has its own concept of beauty. On specific occasions, people
from different cultures tend to have different tastes in clothes
. For instance
, on every Friday Funday, some workers in Japan tend to choose Anime costumes to wear to work while workers in Western areas wear casual clothes
to work. Secondly
, personal choices of clothes
can directly relate to the insights of their mind. People
with a mature mindset tend to dress up in decent clothes
and sustainable items. Meanwhile, immature people
seem to utilize trendy but fast-fashioned attires.
On the other hand
, some people
argue that they cannot freely choose their clothes
because of the regulations of schools or offices. Some particular items are restricted and people
have to wear uniforms at workplaces. However
, they can definitely mix and match different items together. For instance
, Vietnamese students are compulsory to wear uniforms at schools. However
, most of them can expose their personality by mixing accessories. Sporty girls tend to mix uniforms with sneakers or boots while girls who have a soft and girly personality choose to mix with sandals or low-heels. It can be said that regulations cannot hinder and cover one’s personal traits.
In conclusion, t I strongly agree with the statement that the ways people
choose clothes
tell much about their origins and personal traits.Submitted by nhilm.lymannhi on
