Universities should accept equal numbers of male and female students in every subject. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Issues related to gender inequality have been frequently discussed these days. There are some people who opine that universities should allow the same number of male and female
students
for each major. From my perspective, I disagree with
this
statement since it could be the root of
further
problems which I will elaborate on in
this
essay.
Firstly
, each field has its own feature which has a tendency to be more suitable for either males or females. An illustration of
this
is given by pre-education, in which the majority of
students
are women. As a matter of fact, it is well-known that female teachers are not only more caring but
also
more gentle which are crucial for educating young pupils.
On the other hand
, construction or engineering seems to attract more male learners.
Therefore
, these subjects should not limit the number of undergraduates to take part based on their sex but their interests and skills.
Moreover
, in the effort of closing the gender gap,
instead
of giving the same vacancy, which could lead to unfair competition, colleges should offer open opportunities to every potential candidate.

to apply to in nursing major but if the university managed to have 25 male and 25 female
