The graph given demonstrates the proportion of new grades who did the final high school test and passed on it, dividing between girls and boys as well as illustrating each subject. Overall, it's clearly evident that female students got better results in almost all modules, except one of them, Geography.
In addition
, both sexes obtained good grades in Foreign Languages, which were French, Spanish and German.
Furthermore
, there were similarities in four pass rates in which both genders presented modest differences, despite all numbers being overcome by women. Those were Physics, History, Mathematics and Foreign Languages, whose the biggest disparity was around 2,5% in History and the lowest one was 0,6% in Languages module.
However
, it's possible to see a considerable relevance in the supremacy of young women who passed in Chemistry and Computer science, which their percentage reached a heightened number, in comparison with male students, at 30,2% and 56,2%, respectively.
On the other hand
, guys obtained a proportion in rates of 30,4% in Geography, almost 10% more than girls.

The Greeting

Depending on the style and aim of the letter, you will need to adapt your greeting.

Always start an informal letter in the ways:

  • Dear + name
  • Hi / Hello + name

‘Dear...’ is more appropriate, so stick with this.

For a formal letter there are two options for the greeting:

  • Use Dear Sir or Madam if you don’t know the name of the person you are writing to.
  • Use Dear + surname if you do know their name, e.g. Dear Mr Smith or Dear Mrs Jones.
