Dear Sir or Madam My name is Jay, and I am 21 years old. I have been renting in Clarke County for five years. I am writing to inform you that we need to build more sport places in our county.
However
, we already have two sports facilities running five days a week. They are not enough to keep up with the increasing number of youth. If we have our resources ready, I would kindly ask you to build two more recreational areas since there is no place for youth in the southern area of the county. I hope you will consider our situation favourably.
Although
youth, like me, enjoy the current game places, they are always congested with people.
In addition
, they are outdated so that new facilities will give us relief and more flexibility and accessibility. I appreciate your consideration in
this
matter. Best regards, Jay

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
