With the rapid advancement of communication technology: smart phones, tablets and other mobile devices, some people believe that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
There are tremendously controversial perspectives heating up a debate over the exponential development of communication
technology
. Although
this
advancement is valid to some extent, I would contend that its disadvantages are more significant than its perks.
Without a shadow of a doubt, communication technology
is beneficial because it connects people all around the world. Inhabitants can get in touch with each other no matter how far they are via their smart devices namely cellphones, laptops, tablets,... For instance
, one living in Hanoi is capable of contacting one living in Ho Chi Minh City through chats or video calls. As a result
, these convenient devices can reduce the time and money that we need to travel to meet each other directly.
Although
the upsides of communication technology
advancement are widely acknowledged, it would be unfair if we neglect its downsides. One of its downsides is laziness. When you have a phone in your hand, you can communicate with everyone, which makes you not want to go out and talk face-to-face. For example
, people all arounds
the world now chat and talk with each other through Instagram, an application that allows people to send text messages and call Correct your spelling
around
instead
of hanging out. Therefore
, it can lead to some diseases such
as obesity and cardiovascular system due to few muscle movements.
In conclusion, although
cutting-edge technology
brings tremendous benefits to our life, its drawbacks may outweigh its counterpart. In my perspective, we should cut down the time we use advanced devices and meet friends as well as family in the real world.Submitted by hominhtrang995 on
