Write a letter to an English speaking friend explaining why you changed jobs 1: Explain why you changed the job 2: Describe your new job 3: Tell your other news

Dear Rossi, I hope you are healthy and safe. Today I am writing
this
letter to inform you that, I have switched my job to another organisation
thus
, I want to share reasons behind
this
. To embark with, as you know earlier I
work
in a private company as an accountant.
In addition
, I had to
work
hard and my colleagues were not cooperative.
Moreover
, I had to do overtime without any paying money. Not only at the office but
also
at home I had to do
work
. It was really a difficult task for me.
Furthermore
, currently, I am doing a job in a private bank, as a manager post. Though it has many responsibilities, I am happy with my present profession as it is related to my academic background. I think I will do better in
this
sector. I will not be left any stone unturned to get success.
However
, my colleagues are very well behaved and they are not egoistic. I am very excited about my
work
. It was my dream, that I will do a job in a bank. Over and above, my parents
also
feel proud of me. I am feeling like I am over the moon.  I hope you will feel delighted by seeing my progress. Hope to see you soon. No more today. Please visit my place if you can. With regards, Zannatul Firdaus

Use cohesive linking words accurately and appropriately

Linking words are very important in your essay.

To score effectively on your IELTS exam, you should make an effort to implement short concise sentences coupled with linking words.

Almost every sentence in your essay should have a linking word of some sort.

In fact, the only sentences that can omit linking words are your background sentence and thesis.

Linking word examples:

  • firstly
  • secondly
  • thirdly
  • in additional
  • moreover
  • also
