You have recently moved to a new flat. Unfortunately, you lost some money the other day, and cannot afford to pay next month's rent which is due. Write a letter to the landlord explaining the situation that you will pay as soon as your parents send the money Also, mention that there are some pridem with the flat.

Dear Mr Sharma, Writing
this
epistle to share a few concerns regarding flat, rented from you which is located in the city centre near the Aurora Park I am extremely sorry to say that I am not able to pay
next
month's rent now. Yesterday, I went to the market to buy some necessary items but when I returned to my room , my wallet was missing . The place was crowded and I am sure my purse was pickpocketed. Cash was in the wallet that I lost,
That is
why I am not able to make payment in time.
However
, I have asked my parents to send me some money and will surely give you the rent when I received the amount .
Besides
this
, want to inform you about a few flaws in the apartment.
Firstly
, the tap of the bathroom is leaking which leads to wastage of water. Apart from
this
, the Air Conditioner of the room is not working appropriately as it is running, but not lowering the temperatures inside. I would be grateful if you repair these items at the earliest. Hope you will understand my situation by putting your feet in my shoe , allowing me to pay house rent a few days later and resolve the issues which I mentioned above. Looking forward to hearing from you. Yours Sincerely John Smith

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
