Universities should accept equal numbers of male and female students in every subject. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Gender
equality has been a pressing topic in recent times, with the ratio of male to female students in universities being made as one of the measurements. Some propose that the proportion needs to be split at 50:50 as a solution. I choose to outright disagree with
this
proposal as it focuses on the wrong matter and can potentially hinder the future development of talented ones.
Firstly
, it pinpoints an erroneous point of view like
gender
inequality.
Gender
disparity is not solely about the same ratio of men and women, but it is about creating the same opportunity for everyone who is capable enough and passes the requirement needed to enter the university. If certain people qualify, they should be accepted irrespective of their
gender
, be it in more physical works that have always been generalized for men, or in some more delicate majors that have always been attributed to women.
In addition
to that, it hinders future developments of potential talents we have in the nation. It creates an inequality regarding talent spread if some qualified people are being held off on their opportunities to learn at better universities because the
gender
quota has already been filled.
This
creates a new issue about access to education, limiting the possibility for potential talents to access better resources, and impacting the future stronghold of our nation's economy and workforce. All things considered, I believe that the proposal in hand would hurt our fight for
gender
equality and will not be the most efficient solution for people’s development. I will not recommend
such
solutions and urge admission officers across the country to reject them.
